No cookies. No analytics. No tracking pixels. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how to have it removed.
Plain English, first: this page is a straightforward summary of what Milestone Messages actually does with information — not a downloaded template. It has not been reviewed by an attorney. If anything here is unclear, email milestonemsg@gmail.com and we will explain it in normal words.

Milestone Messages is a sole proprietorship (“we,” “us”). We rent vintage phone audio and video guest books for weddings and events across New York City, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, the Hudson Valley, and Northern New Jersey. This policy covers both this website and the recordings captured at events we work.
We do not set cookies. We do not use localStorage. There is exactly one thing this site writes to your browser: a single first-party sessionStorage entry named mm_attrib.
It holds a short attribution string — the hostname of the site that referred you (or a #src= tag from a link we shared) plus the page you landed on. Its only purpose is to tell us where an inquiry came from, so we know which listings and referrals are worth keeping. It is not shared with anyone, it cannot be read by any other website, and your browser clears it the moment you close the tab.
When you request a quote we collect the fields you fill in: your name, email address, phone number, event date, event type, which package you are interested in, whether you want the 4K video add-on, your message, and the short attribution string described above.
The form is processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-to-email relay that passes your submission along to our Gmail inbox. Web3Forms acts as a processor for us in that hand-off; their privacy policy is at web3forms.com/privacy. Once delivered, your enquiry lives in our email account and, if you book, in our booking records.
We use this information to answer you, quote your date, and run your event. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). As with any file your browser fetches from another server, that request discloses your IP address and basic browser information to Google. We do not control what Google does with that. We mention it because it is the one third-party connection this site makes on an ordinary page view.
At an event, guests pick up the handset and leave a message. With the 4K video add-on, a short video is captured alongside the audio. Those recordings are personal information belonging to the guest who made them, not only to the couple or client who hired us.
We sometimes photograph our own setup at an event for our portfolio and Instagram. If you would prefer not to appear in anything we post, tell us at the event or email us and we will not use it.
A short list, and it really is short: Web3Forms (form delivery), Google (our email inbox, and the font request described above), and our website host. We share booking details with nobody else, except that a venue may ask us for a certificate of insurance — that certificate names the venue and the date, not your personal details.
Email milestonemsg@gmail.com and you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, send you a copy, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. We will do it, and we will not make it difficult. Please include enough detail for us to find you — usually your name and the event date.
We are a small local vendor in New York, not a multinational, and we do not run a formal GDPR or UK GDPR compliance programme. That said, guests at the weddings we work sometimes live in the EU or UK, and we think the rights above — access, correction, deletion, and the right to object to a recording being kept — are the right ones to offer everybody regardless of where they live. If you are in the EU or UK and would like your request handled with that in mind, say so in your email and we will.
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them through it. Children at a wedding may of course leave a message on the phone like anybody else; the same deletion request above applies, and a parent or guardian can make it.
Recordings and booking details are kept in password-protected accounts and on equipment we control. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected people promptly if something goes wrong.
If our practices change, we will update this page and the “last updated” date at the top. We will not quietly start tracking you and leave this page as it is.
