Milestone Messages brings a restored vintage handset to your reception. Guests pick it up, hear a greeting you recorded, and speak after the tone. When they hang up, the message saves automatically. There is no app, no QR code, and no attendant standing over anyone's shoulder. After the wedding you get every recording as its own file — your grandmother's voice, your college roommate's terrible advice, the cousin who got emotional and did not expect to.

We cover the whole island, from the Nassau County catering halls and country clubs through the North Shore estates, out past Smithtown and Port Jefferson, and east to the vineyards of the North Fork and the beach venues of the Hamptons and Montauk. Travel is included in the package price — there is no separate mileage charge for anywhere on Long Island.

A few things we have learned working island venues:

• Catering halls usually want the booth near the cocktail hour entrance rather than the main ballroom, where the band drowns everything out.
• Waterfront and beach clubs need a covered spot. Salt air and direct sun are hard on equipment, and a tent or covered patio solves both.
• Vineyards and barns on the North Fork often have limited outlets. We confirm power placement with your coordinator well before the day.
• Country clubs and estates almost always ask for a certificate of insurance. We are fully insured and send the COI straight to your venue.

Choose the phone that fits the room

Three setups, all using authentic vintage handsets. The tabletop vintage phone is a 1950s payphone or a classic rotary in black or white, sitting on a skirted cocktail table — the right call for a tight cocktail hour or an intimate reception. The full-size white British phone booth is the showpiece: guests step inside, and it doubles as the photo people actually post. The authentic NYC street payphone brings a bit of city grit, which plays beautifully against a Gold Coast estate or an industrial-loft look.

Whichever you choose, the neon "Leave a Message" sign goes up beside it so no one has to be told what to do.

What the day looks like

We arrive early, set up, and test your greeting before the first guest walks in. The phone then runs itself for five hours — no staff, no babysitting, no interruptions to your timeline. When the night ends we pack up quietly while you are saying goodbyes. You never touch the equipment. If you want the booth dressed with florals, we coordinate directly with your florist so it matches the rest of your design.
